What does Seshaasai mean?

Our name is a Sanskrit word that is also one of the names of Lord Vishnu from the Hindu scriptures. He signifies the preservation of the cosmic order, the upholding of moral and ethical principles, and the protection of the universe from evil and chaos. The name inspires us towards our Dharma (individual duty) in society.

The Logo Element

Our organisation persona is represented by the beautiful, joyous dandelion. At first glance, it might seem unusual that a company that specialises in RFID, credit card manufacture and BFSI technology would choose to represent itself by a delicate little plant. However, a deeper look into our history and evolution reveals that the dandelion perfectly embodies who we are.

The dandelion’s florets spread effortlessly in the wind, finding new destinations to take root and grow. It doesn’t merely thrive itself; it provides early spring nectar for pollinators, thus nourishing the ecosystem. Throughout its rich 30-million-year history, the plant has served purposes ranging from decorative to medicinal, industrial to nutritive. Perhaps most symbolically, it is customary to make a wish when blowing on the plant, causing the florets to disperse.

Similarly, Seshaasai began with a single printing press, spreading its presence to millions of homes across the country. New ideas often spread in several ways, opening up possibilities for us, our clients, our employees, and the nation. All our core strengths, like the dandelion's florets, stem from a strong belief that trusted partnerships are essential for progress.

The Seshaasai logo beautifully combines the two primary hues of the rising sun - Flame Orange and Rajah. These colours reflect new beginnings, innovation, and a bright future, visually representing our commitment to illuminating the path forward.
Flame Orange
Flame Orange, inspired by agni or fire, symbolises change, movement and creativity. In the Vedic tradition, fire burns away at the darkness and brings light, representing knowledge and dispelling ignorance. Fire also represents high energy, momentum and passion. This colour thus symbolises the quest for self-knowledge and spiritual enlightenment.
Rajah
The colour Rajah is deeply rooted in Hindu tradition, symbolising virtue, spirituality, and self-discipline. It is the colour of a sublime sunrise associated with qualities such as creativity, optimism, and energy. Rajah evokes feelings of happiness and excitement, making it an excellent choice for designs aiming to capture attention and instil a sense of warmth and positivity. This colour reflects the vibrancy and dynamic spirit of Seshaasai, driving innovation and a positive outlook towards the future.

Purple
Purple serves as a foundational colour that supports and complements the primary colours, Flame Orange and Rajah, without overpowering them. It functions as an accent colour, meaningful to the DNA of the organisation, and lends a futuristic feel to our innovation-driven tech identity. Purple combines the calm stability of blue, representing technology and the Sage archetype, with the passionate, empathetic energy of red, symbolising people and the Hero archetype. Historically associated with imagination, purple also denotes unconventional thought, wisdom, free association, courage, peace, and independence. This colour perfectly encapsulates Seshaasai's ethos of blending technological prowess with human-centric innovation, embodying both the wisdom and bravery that drive our brand forward.

Our brand shape is one of the most natural processes in nature - mitosis.

If you look at our history, it might seem odd that a once-stationery supplier for BFSI, would end up developing RFID solutions for retail. But that is the beauty of organic growth and evolution. A perfect metaphor for our organisational belief, partnerships for progress.

Mitosis is the process by which a cell replicates its chromosomes and then segregates them, resulting in two identical nuclei in preparation for cell division. It's a good metaphor for how we have grown. Decentralising our organisation while maintaining values at the core. Branching off into new products and industries while maintaining the same commitment to solving business problems. And though the future is uncertain, we have a clear idea of how we will approach it. New expertise, new verticals, new sectors... but retaining the original DNA.

This design is inspired by our brand shape, which draws on the concepts of mitosis and circles. The dots, crafted from our primary colours of orange and yellow, and supported by white, come together to form meaningful patterns.

Technology, in our view, is never isolated, either at the micro or macro level. True meaning emerges when various components of technology converge, as embodied in the design of our graphic element. The dots symbolise different tech components coming together organically to form a cohesive and beautiful whole.

At Seshaasai, data is constantly moving and evolving, taking on meaningful shapes at a rapid pace. Mirroring our brand shape, this graphic element conveys a sense of movement and kinetic energy, capturing the dynamic nature of our work in technology.
